By accessing or using the BaseRate website and platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. About BaseRate

BaseRate is a trading name of Velocity Works Pty Ltd (ABN 21 700 794 056), Corporate Credit Representative 580651 of Scott Iriks, holder of Australian Credit Licence 383122. BaseRate is not a bank or lender. We use technology to help you estimate repayments and explore suitable options from our lender panel. We do not compare every lender or product in the market.

2. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the BaseRate platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

  • Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
  • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest or extract data from the platform
  • Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable Australian law

3. Financial Information & Disclaimers

Repayment estimates, rate comparisons and borrowing power calculations provided on this platform are indicative only. They are not a credit quote, approval or guarantee of any finance product. Actual rates and repayments are determined by individual lenders following full credit assessment.

Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice. You should consider seeking independent financial advice before making any finance decision.

4. Lender Referrals

If a finance application introduced through BaseRate settles, the financier pays BaseRate a referral fee (commission). The amount can vary by financier and product. BaseRate does not charge you a fee to use the service, but financier interest, fees, charges and terms may apply.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the BaseRate platform, including text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by or licensed to Velocity Works Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without our written permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BaseRate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or reliance on any information provided on it.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
