Why we started BaseRate

Car finance should not feel like a waiting game.

Traditional car finance can mean completing a form, waiting for a callback, repeating your information and emailing documents back and forth. Quotes may arrive at different times and use different assumptions, making them difficult to compare.

Dealer finance can be convenient, but one offer does not tell you how it compares with other available options. BaseRate was built to give customers more control.

Our technology helps assess your information against the eligibility and product criteria of participating lenders from our panel of 60+ asset-finance lenders. The panel is not the whole market, lender availability varies and any formal approval is subject to lender assessment.

The journey is digital and designed to move at your pace. If an introduced loan settles, BaseRate may receive a commission from the lender. We explain how we are paid, do not provide personal financial advice and leave the decision with you.
